For an international company of Transit, based in Madagascar

Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:

·         Purpose of this role is to manage and develop the business undertaken for company’s account above USD50K in Madagascar. The end goal is maintaining and growing the business and increasing the value added to the clients and company through ensuring service excellence and developing new business opportunities in conjunction with the Key Accounts development target. This role should ensure that best practice is shared internally to generate new and develop current business relationships. Close interaction with clients, colleagues, local sourcing offices will be vital aspect of this role.

Specific responsibilities of the position:

General Tasks
·         Drive structured implementation of SOP, where appropriate, and development projects.
·         Create a well-defined development plan for each client. Ensure that this is in line with and supporting the client’s logistics aims and coordinate with all internal procedures.
·         Communicate development plan to set up the direction of customer’s request and ensure all members in relation with the customer gets perfect understanding of customer’s expectation.
·         Work with team leaders, operations teams, and client’s local and national operational and financial staff in addition to Management to ensure that operational/financial stability is in place. This should always be one of the main focuses of the role specifically during peak season.
·         Build/maintain relationships with key staff and provide one point of entry to company for all the client’s needs.
·         Research and analyze the clients own initiated projects and make recommendations.
·         Research and analyze business model to identify new development opportunities, evaluate the feasibility of those (both for the client and company) and propose solution the client.
·         Demonstrate value added to the client, drive pricing with CCO towards being value based.
·         Constantly review SOP and update where necessary.
·         Pro-actively manage all customers’ aspects (financials, operations) through the client’s line management to ensure that best in class service is offered to each account.
·         Provide internal and external monthly reports showing performance and progress made with regards operational and financial stability and development.
·         Actively share information and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to perform at a higher level.
·         Directly improve the quality of the client logistics solution.
·         Exert influence to convince clients to accept commercial proposals/development solutions, which add clear value to their business.
·         Develop perfect knowledge of company products.

Sales Administrative
·         Perform quotations when needed.
·         Open physical files and transmit to Operation Department once approved by customer.
·         Support CCO when needed.
·         Respond to tender and project requests.

·         Ensure sales records and customer profiles are updated on time (CRM).
·         Maintain Sales Pipeline report timely updated and ensure data quality.
·         Report adequately and regularly on results to Commercial Manager
